Online auction

As most of you know via email and from information shared at the Annual Meeting, we intend to raise $20,000 through an online auction to address needs to our church facility.  Between now and March 16, we are securing donations that will become part of the auction.  We need your help!

What kind of donations? A weekend at a vacation home, concert or sport tickets, boating excursions, gift cards of all sorts, restaurant certificates, cooking classes, wine tasting, salon or spa certificates, gym membership, gift baskets with desirable items, family portraits, pet sitting, babysitting, yard clan up, electrical work, tax preparation, estate planning, prepare and serve meal in someone’s home, give private music concert, spring flower planting, etc. What you donate can be a specific item or a service that you or someone else can provide. Most of us know various vendors – dentist, florist, barber, accountant, dry cleaner, etc. who might be willing to provide a gift certificate. Perhaps you have skills in cooking, music, business, or other expertise that could be auctioned. You are limited only by your imagination.

How do I donate an item or skill? Complete the “Online Auction Donation Form” included in today’s worship bulletin and return it to Cindy Willette, who is overseeing the online auction. If you have questions, please contact Cindy at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

For what are we raising money? Projects include painting the sanctuary entryway – pillars, windows above doors, doors; repairing the paver walkway from the front circle drive to the parking lot at the Chapel (it has become a safety concern); painting hallways along Welcome Room and kitchen; exterior signage to assist both members and visitors (most exterior signs need replacement); if we have funds, additional needed exterior painting can be done.

When will the online auction happen? The auction will go live on March 30 and conclude April 13.  Publicity will be provided in advance so that access to the auction link is readily available.
