Sunday Worship

We have changes the way we have our services and activities because of current conditions.
Please click here to learn about them.

Sundays (school year):
8:30 am worship in the Ina Ellen Chapel
10:30 am worship in the main sanctuary

Sundays (summer):
9:30 am worship in the main sanctuary (from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend)

Special Services:
Throughout the year, St. John’s Lutheran holds special services such as outdoor summer worship called “Mass on the Grass,” midweek Lent and Holy Week worship, Blessing of the Animals, Christmas worship, Music Sunday, Youth Sunday, Santa Lucia celebration, etc.

Children in Worship:
At St. John’s we want children present in worship! At each 10:30 am service, a Children’s Message geared for little ones is shared on the chancel steps; during the Offering, children are welcome to bring coins to the receptacle at the foot of the pulpit; during Holy Communion, children receive a blessing from the pastor. There is an unstaffed nursery room in the event parents need to “escape” with their little ones, but know that noisy children are a sign of life, and we are delighted that families have their children in worship.

“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.”
– 1 Peter 2:2-3

Offertory

At this time we ask you to give whatever you can. St John Lutheran’s missions reach out in many ways to our community, and we can’t do it without your ongoing support.

Deuteronomy 16:16b, 17 – “They shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed. Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God that He has given you.”
