Confirmation Ministry
Our Confirmation Ministry is a reflection of the Mission Statement of St. John’s Lutheran Church: “All are welcome! We share Christ’s love, grow in faith, and serve others.”

What is Confirmation?
Confirmation is a pastoral and educational ministry of the church that is designed to help baptized youth deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ, to engage in the life and mission of the congregation’s ministry, and to connect faith with daily life.

Objectives of Confirmation instruction:
1. To personally know and confess the Christian faith through an understanding of the church’s teaching through the Bible and Luther’s Small Catechism in preparation for Affirmation of Baptism.
2. To live as a disciple of Jesus by serving God and others and by engaging in the mission of the church.
3. To participate in the community of faith through worship, witness, education, service and fellowship as a life-long response to God’s grace in Jesus Christ.
